Young Archaeologists’ Club and Home Front Legacy teams up for two workshops bringing together colleagues from community groups, heritage organisations, and those working with young people across Scotland.
Find out about YAC and the opportunities it offers young people in the first workshop, and be inspired to record the First World War Home Front in your local area during the afternoon.
Be inspired
The morning session will focus on the Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC), and the workshop, supported by Historic Environment Scotland, will focus on YAC’s growth across Scotland, including the development of new branches and partnerships. The session welcomes existing branch leaders and volunteers as well as anyone interested in setting up a new branch– to show how easy it can be to get involved.
Following an introduction to YAC, there will be the chance to try out practical YAC activities and hear the experiences of some of our current YAC leaders, as well of plenty of opportunities to discuss and ask questions about setting up, running and collaborating with a YAC branch.
The event is a double-header with the afternoon session being run by the CBA’s Home Front Legacy project. It is possible to sign up for either the morning or afternoon session, or the full day as required, all via the same link. Sat 24 March 2018: 10:00 – 16:30
