Student loan company decides I`ve defaulted by not returning a defferment form I never received.They send another form demanding to know how many kids I`ve got etc.Troll tells them to sod off cos it`s none of their business and asks for a defferment form.They refuse. This goes on for months. Troll gets a letter from a county court telling him he either provides bank/employer details under an attachment to earnings order so that student loan company can take money they have no right to-or, goes to jail for 14 days.. Troll writes back telling the court the story. Troll gets letter back from court saying that he can go to court to be heard but has to pay ?60. So, I take home ?211 a week as a digger. My loan agreement payback level is ?20,000 p.a. I am being asked to pay ?60 (cost me same again in day off to do so) to dispute the right of said company to remove money from my wages. Troll not doing neither...troll goin to have a couple of weeks of free food/board...Bo**ocks.

Horrified to read this Troll, where do these jokers think we keep our secret stash of cash? In the event that they actually go through with this I will bring some snout in for you, mind you they will probably want a percentage of that too

Just don't put it on your CV. Brave move, but it will cost you more than ?60 in lost wages.
The SLC just deecided to put my limit up, for no particular reason. Went from 10k where I'd been paying about ?15, upp to 15k. At this rate I'm not going to get 15k for another 8 years, by which time I'll owe another 16 grand in interest. I heard they right off any debt you still owe if you're out of uni for 20 years. But since they keep changing the rules, who knows?

In that case.... and because of Trolls outstanding contributions (if sometimes outspoken) he has helped to make this a lively and interesting messageboard.
BAJR would like to offer to pay the 60 quid? I know its the principal but I would rather pay for you to have a day in court than to see you in clink!

Dont put it on your cv, yes neither would i but, when they check your references "oh yeah troll, he worked for us until he went to prison". not good mate, pay up troll even though it hurts bad. ha! i can talk i'm still dodging paying mine.

An interesting point Oxbeast. As I went to Uni late in life I wonder if they will still want repayments from my meagre State Pension (If such a thing still exists then)

I'll chip in a tenner - David how about setting up a hardship fund for diggers to cover such situations.
