21st Century treasure hunters and antiquarians - Troll - 16th November 2005 This new Century could be seen as the age of nano-antiquarianism.Some of the questionable practises of the fathers of archaeology are still happening today in British archaeology and elsewhere.Commercial archaeology can be seen as hack and slash but is ok because ppg 16 protects the archaeology.Runaway commercialism is disguising the behaviour and hideous scale of the devastation wreaked upon the nations heritage by nano-antiquarians.Discuss. ![]() 21st Century treasure hunters and antiquarians - achingknees - 17th November 2005 nano-antiquarianism [?][?][?] artefact collecting at a factor of 10 to the power of minus nine[?] a veiled swipe at sample sizes [?] 21st Century treasure hunters and antiquarians - Post-Med Potterer - 17th November 2005 I think he means 'neo-antiquarianism'! 21st Century treasure hunters and antiquarians - eggbasket - 17th November 2005 Actually, I think he means that archaeologists are getting smaller to the point of being invisible to the naked eye. I believe that many diseases may soon be traced to the accidental inhalation of nano-antiquarians. On the plus side, world food problems could soon be solved since one turnip will feed 100 nano-antiquarians for two years and the housing crisis will be solved since entire nations will fit into a small bedsit.
