does that mean that if you find a pot in a pit- the wacking great monument cant be far away
well thats my experience and thinking about it its because the bloodgy brief said I had to waste my time there becasue there was a blubdy great monumernet next door which I had to stare at all day while somebody put some carp founadations in

Have just slightly horrified one of the henge-meisters by suggesting that since the pits have primacy and are a fluid medium through time they should be looking at them across the landscape before/during/after the big round things came and went if they want to understand the monuments, also the pits don't tend to be scheduled...phew....think I need a quiet night in with a damp towel over my head after that.....did manage to currupt a totally non-pit conference into one though. Pits rule!
