Museum closures


Lincolnshire County Council has announced plans for the closure of Church Farm Museum, Skegness, Grantham Museum and Stamford Museum. Comments from Cllr Nick Worth, who says visitor figures do not justify the running costs. Further comments from Mark Homer, assistant director for culture and adult education.

the subsidies for these places are in the region of 14 to 17 pence per footfall, they presumably are places that should be centres for community archaeology?

a well known archaeological centre that can invent itself a MA course. I used to call them ........... but I have grown up now.
