I always used to insits on little ladders up the sides of evaluation trenches so that the pixies could climb out!!! Otherwise they started to burrow and b**gered up the stratigraphy!

I have always found that a well-aimed mattock, shovel or boot heel dealt quite adequately with pixies, wee folk and other assorted miniature anthropomorphic vermin.

Er no, they are not covered under either the wildlife and countryside 1981 Act and the Conservation Regulations 1994 or any EC Habitats Directive I'm aware of. Plus they also make a delightful noise when you squash them. Basically open season, good sport etc. It's even legal to hunt them with hounds, half drunk and wearing traditional costume.

what about pointy boots.....I was thinking of going back to the web site which started this off and asking how much the shiny helmets are. They're rather nice and I'd quite like to scare the next bunch of people I meet on site....
