Probably not at the time of the year that these projects are proposed (May-September).

You will probably get the midnight sun if you are in the north of Alaska but not in the south. Alaska's southern limit is at latitude 54 degrees which is about the same as York I think. I guarantee what you will get (if the parallel latitudes of Scandinavia are a good guide) is a hell of lot of biting insects.....for 10-12 hours a day.

You can see the aurora from most places in the uk as long as there isn't light pollution and not too cloudy.

Before I go for any job abroad i'm needing to get a first time passport,some delay in that as iv lost my birth certificate (never rains but it pours) but once all thats sorted then Mr Hosty-the world will be my otter (or is it an oyster?):face-approve:
