I think this ad is a good indication of how bad things currently are in Archaeology. Even a year ago you wouldn't have seen a weeks work advertised, there wouldn't be any takers for it, but now apparently there are.

Indeed. My locally bred fiancee holds a strong allegiance to the Tamar Valley and swears its neither part of Cornwall or Devon!! Beware - here be piskies... and thats the last you'll see of you tent pegs.

In light of my original post, I'd like to pay credit to West Cornwall for advertising the post. Its no discredit to them and just a sad indictment of archaeology and the fate of archaeologists at the moment.
