Is there anything in the AUP that precludes posters from insulting the Royal family??? Cos if not.......
But to provide a little balance I got the following from the PCS web site
'PCS members in English Heritage have been presented with a pay offer that will introduce:
? Regional pay ranges; and
? Market and performance pay
The proposals form part of a three year deal (2008-2011) and the impact will have a devastating affect on staff in the lower bands and in Visitor Operations, as the proposals will affect our members? future pension entitlement and annual pay increases.
While English Heritage management plan to reduce our members? salaries, they are looking to reward other staff in the organisation with large pay rises.
We think it is unfair and will hamper the ability for English Heritage to continue its important work, as our members will be demoralised and some may even have to leave if their pay is reduced any further.
Our members provide vital support to specialist staff and are essential to attracting visitors, educating school children and promoting the organisation and its work on the hundreds of sites across the country'.

No don't get me wrong Gog, I'm all for insulting royalty.....especially the second and third sons of any royal generation, the wives, the hangers-on, squirm-ees, toadies, the cousins, the sisters and the aunts, the butlers, ex butlers, butlers to come and.......prince Phillip!! Just wanted to check that it didn't break any rules....

Can't really go into details, Unit of 1, because I might get into trouble if I do, and then I'd be sad. But to attempt to explain the general terms:
Regional pay - this would give an organisation the ability to pay staff more in areas where there is a higher cost of living, less in areas that are perceived to be less expensive. EH, for example has visitor operations and other staff in sites across England, as well as regional offices.
Market pay - the ability to pay above 'normal' pay scales where there is difficulty in recruiting to an organisation's normal pay scales, e.g. IT people.

Go on, into details. It must be very sad to work for an organisation. I understand that eh has members, maybe we all at bajr could join and put up a vote against the tyrants. Are the members involved in these negotiations. And you say there are regions, are eh beholden at the local level, maybe I could put pressure on my parish councillor to get it sorted out, what?s else is democracy for. I have tried reading this
