It would solve quite a few answers BAJR, but it may also push the selling of finds underground? I think it would be practical and make things more difficult for sure.

Since when has the selling of metal detector finds been underground? A glance in the back of most related magazines reads like the smalls in a free newspaper..axes, brooches, etc, etc.....

Thats true of course Troll, but I know for a fact that it goes further than that!Sad Thats why I would like to see a PAS certificate with any find sold that is over 300 years of age.

Certificates from PAS after a find has been logged. 300 Years comes from PAS themselves! They done record finds under 300 years of age very often so thats why there is a cut off point. I'd prefer 200 years myself. You need to get over to PAS Forum more often Troll!Wink
