From The Greenwich Observer 5th August 1962:
The construction of the UK's first tunnel to China is in doubt after questions have been asked about the suitability of hiring archaeologists for all excavation works. The project developers said that the massive savings made in hiring archaeologists over unionised labour have now been exhausted and voiced concerns over delays, cost overruns and a poor health and safety culture at the dig site. The archaeologists have said that while this is new territory for them, they are confident to finish the tunnel if the developers give them "another week or two, or thereabouts".

not sure that I can see any "mistakes" here, Yes they seem to be using buckets to move the spoil out but if they all stand back I dont see any need for a hard hat and viz jacket is that for finding them when they get buried? As I understand it now you can dig at any depth if you consider it safe so not having a viz jacket in the hope that they find you if you get buried may make you less considerate when digging at depth. Pity I cant see any sandles in the photo but I dont see any reason that a field archaeologist( thats the only type of archaeologist there is) couldnt dig down there fully nude so long as they felt intune with the environment.
Dino does not seem to be able to imagine an archaeological world without sections
looks like cartoon has got all the golden verses down pat.You can get a similar effect by tucking the pjs into ones socks.

although he appears to walk in the path of 64 no mention of ethyl acetate and he coulde have got more excited about these buggers http://aem.asm.org/content/69/1/649.full theres a big race on for these little buggers, they like to take their alcohols 50-60%, this and other obviouse defects show that the aussi form of soft leather furnishing has not got his 68 sorted out and still not sure about the glass bottle thing

Very interesting link, I haven't enjoyed myself so much since that last theoretical archaeology conference. But be wary of Pythogoreans and remember what happened to Hippasus of Metapontum.
