I've never seen a drying room except on digs where there was a building crew present and the drying room was really only there for them. I suppose us archaeologists are naturally more waterproof - or something like that.

thats cus diggers fill them with finds, samples and tools and old lags smoke in them when they think nobody is looking (they dont have a sense of smell)

I'm sticking with the waterproof theory, it explains why builders are sort of bloated - water retention.
