I go to a Chiropractor once a month. bliss for body and brain.
Will look at other Carpal remedies. plus. will look at adding wrist supports to Past Horizons. - WE may have a surgical Support section

If you stopped selling the trowels you wouldn't need to stock the wrist supports . . .

Perhaps floppy trowels might do it?
Carpal Tunnel - Dinosaur - 22nd May 2012
Judging by the Wiki description of the surgury I'd avoid that as long as possible....
Floppy trowels are a good idea, much less painful at tea break when you forget they're in your back pocket, and no more ripping the a*** out of you favourite digging jeans when climbing through fences :face-approve:

I have had the opperation to my right wrist-the onset was incredibly fast (few weeks from everything going wrong to being diagnosed afte nerve conduction testing). I will need the opperation to my left in the near future. Right wrist was 'successful' though there is a high risk of problems associated with the procedure so I will put off the left as long as I am able just in case. One of the side effects is -after the ligament has been snipped it forms a tighter band around the wrist- so it feels like I am permanently wearing a bracelet. I now wear a bracelet so my mind is not constantly trying to figure out what is (not) around my wrist. They actual procedure was not a barrel of laughs either.....

Thanks for that info Digger. Seems like this is an impoortant H&S issue that has been substantially ignored as an problem for us field archaeologists ( and computer bods) Should it be seen as important as wearing a helmet? as knee pads? should a wrist guard be seen as essential work wear protection?
