I only popped-out for a loaf of bread.... CIfA Client guide published - Marc Berger - 26th June 2015 popped out for a loaf of bread, I thought that we were here to help hosty iron out and up date his guide http://www.bajr.org/DeveloperWeb/Planning.asp which has been juxtaposed against the golbals of the cif. Thing is should we throw over-cut sections at the cif as the method to suggest worthwhile embellishments to hosty or go straight at it. For instance the cif have an ISBN number, ISBN 978-0-948393-23-5 March 2015 and get the impression when you "scroll" through the very glossy 28 pages that we are being let into the wondrous old fashioned world of publishing in paper form. I cant imagine that it is cheap to print, I cant image why anybody including globalists would print it out but presume that the ISBN is on this document, that you can print of the web, for a reason. Hostys does not seem to have an ISBN number. Hosty is tech savvy, hostys guide just mentions copyright as does the cifs. Do you think that hostys guide could do with an isbn number or 2? A monkey :o) CIfA Client guide published - Dinosaur - 26th June 2015 Marc Berger Wrote:...if you have got a section, your not exactly digging single context... ...but on the other hand you can go back and figure out where someone has f***ed-up the stratigraphic record. One of the last reports I wrote I mainly went with the trial trench interpretation since it had sections, whereas of course area- (over-)stripping had denied this pleasure to the following crew. Actually, don't the WSIs for all your evaluations have stuff in about recording sample sections of your trenches even where blank (implying recording full sections where they aren't blank...), or is that just in a lot of counties around here? Or maybe you manage to dig craters without sections? You'd fit in fine around here :face-approve: CIfA Client guide published - GnomeKing - 26th June 2015 Another example of the sadly-all-too common from Dino there...if only we could pull some of that experience together somehow........... (Marc, please try to make your point clear. Really distracting continually trying to figure out what you are trying to say - there is a time and place for crypto-cynascism) CIfA Client guide published - Marc Berger - 26th June 2015 I think the subject was over cutting sections and I tried to get it back onto hosys guide but Dinos gone and added another interpretation to the section on sections and appears to be suggesting that I don't do sections which I do but don't mind if I dont. I don't think that I would be as sure as dino that having a section will sort out the fck stratigraphy. I am kind of wondering how he would know it was wrong in the first place. On trying to make things clear I think I was at the should hosty get the "guide" an ISBN number if its to look professional like the cifa guide? CIfA Client guide published - Marc Berger - 26th June 2015 Can anybody get an isbn search to recognise the cifa isbn ISBN 978-0-948393-23-5? Could be that you can make up your own isbn numbers if you want?......then hostys guide recommends The Lincolnshire Handbook. Maybe hosty should call the guide a handbook which I think is a book that is handy. It too has an ISBN number! ISBN: 0-9545300-3 This isbn number appears to be a total lulu. Which is probably very appropriate as it is "published" with two forwards one dated the November 2010 and another 1998 and claims TABLE OF CONTENTS - (Valid from 18th June 2012) but does mention the NPPF which must have been spanking new at the time as it came out on 27 march 2012. How much experience of NPPF could have gone into the handbook its hard to say. If it is a guide it appears to be trying to fit NPPF into PPG16. Which is a round about way of saying hosty I think your guide is out of date and needs a big up date. It could also do with a structural change. Do you want a co author? CIfA Client guide published - BAJR - 29th June 2015 I will have to say my next comment in pictographs... given that words fail me :p:p:p :face-huh: :face-confused: :face-topic: :face-kiss: CIfA Client guide published - GnomeKing - 29th June 2015 (crypto-cynascism correctly deployed) |
