Personally, having been not in archaeology for a few months, I miss it and I want to get back to it. But that might just be that I'm nuts.... [xx(]
I'm quite happy not to be dealing exclusively with archaeology anymore, promoting heritage (which includes a little archaeology) is much more fun.

Thank you Redben for reminding me that the only good reason for getting up in the morning is to have fun!
No, I haven't found anything yet!

Being a modern records officer at a county archive. Still, it's quite amusing reading the correspondence from the 1970s when people didn't realise that their internal memos would one day be available to public view....... And some of the letters from Members of the Public are CRACKING! I'm making a note of some of the more interesting phrases....
I can imagine some people on here who might say this one (it's from an officer, rather than a member of the public);
"It is a pity, once again, that the people concerned did not address their correspondence to me?. But, then, they wouldn?t have been able to send a copy to their clients demonstrating that they were pursuing the application at the highest level and with all vigour!"

Ah Oz, you could kick off the archaeology vs heritage arguement again! I was hoping you'd comment. [8D]

I think that argument was done to death last time, think I'll let this stay :face-topic: and go back to having a fun time with heritage. :face-stir:

Hey, if we do 'Fun with Heritage' can I count myself in still? OK, the oldest stuff I'm dealing with is 1973, but still......

For the record after much testing, we have foudn that the best S&T to hurl is "Reconstructing the Past" Hardback. Firstly it is weighty and the hardback cover gives good aerodynamic qualities, allowing your inbuilt targeting system to hit each time.
Currently onsite near Lincoln with a load of heritage study students. They are good fun, if a little odd.
4 inch archaeologist's pointing troll- the next big thing for small find management
