What's your favourite? - BAJR Host - 17th November 2006 problem of only 6 answers allowed.... but now we know...! Quite a weird period that... lots going on ... imigrants coming in , imperial politics, religion, death and war (bit like the UK now!!) "No job worth doing was ever done on time or under budget.." Khufu What's your favourite? - eggbasket - 21st November 2006 I don't get all this prehistoric rubbish really. Surely the only period of any interest in the UK is that between about 793AD and 1066AD? Outside the UK the late pre-Viking Iron Age in Scandinavia is also interesting, as is the Late Norse period. There really is no need to investigate anything else since these have it all; great stories; giant porridge spoons; mad old women that like beating up chickweed; heroic fights; politics; legal disputes; and Vikings a-plenty. What more could a person need? Cheers, Eggbasket Gentleman Adventurer and Antique "A great victory for rangers and hamsters everywhere. What's your favourite? - japheree - 12th February 2007 I'm definately a prehistorian, and preferably anything pre neolithic too although I'm not sure whether that is just because I do indeed end up using my imaginated a little to much in the face of little evidence! Do have a bit of a soft spot for thos Vikings too. What's your favourite? - mercenary - 12th February 2007 Not a fan of periods really. Transitions are much more interesting. Change over stasis every time. Particularly like either side of the Roman infestation, but as a result have grown to quite like the bloody Romans as well!
