I hope so! Its early days for the site but I can see huge potential for the future.
I konw the guys (and girls) who run it and they have worked hard to promote it (and get support from) mps and lords down in the halls of power.
But the potential of the site will only become apparent when lots of people are using it.
Bizzarely my friend said that the international version is a much bigger success!

One of the things I have already learnt from the Digital Democracy website (thanks Hopscotch for pointing it out) is that if as a result of using the Localism Bill the government finds itself in breach of the Valetta Convention and a fine is imposed by the EU, the Minister of State reserves that right to pass the fine onto - guess who? - the local authority. or in other words me and you.
So here's the scenario, government tells us to do something it knows is in breach of European law, gets taken to task by EU and fined for clear breach of law and then gets us to pay its fine from our local resources. I now understand what they mean by Localism......

Totally unconnected aside - I have made a proposal on the Digital Democracy site that the government should refund the ?2 million they skimmed off the International Development budget to pay for the Popes visit to the UK. So if anyone wants to support, condemn or whatever that motion, please do.
The sad thing about Digital Democracy is that I am only allowed to make one new proposal every 4 weeks - don't they realise I am an angry old man!!

Interesting that the minister states all 'neighbourhood plans would have to be in keeping with the local plan'. If that is the case I don't see any difference to the local planning system currently in place.....Neighbourhood planning policy, like the current conservation and development area considerations would still be defined through the 'local plan' for which residents have a right of consultation every what, 10 years of so....
