standards for treatment of human remains abroad - troll - 30th October 2005
Just discussed this with Snipey offline....
BAJR guidelines are the way to go but perhaps alongside a simple concept-good old on-site mentoring.Fieldies without skelly experience dig alongside osteos-osteos without field experience dig alongside fieldies......[?]humility results in positive learning environments, humiliation does`nt.

the mentoring idea would be a great one for units that have inhouse osteos, if those osteos are allowed out on site. In my job on certain occasions I have only found out about skellies because of rumours going round rather than being told in any official capacity, though that does seem to be changing now I've been there for a while.
I still think some written guidelines would be fantastic, especially for osteos who work in external labs
++ i spend my days rummaging around in dead people ++
