comparative studies - achingknees - 21st November 2005 1man1desk, You are right about the homogeneous pit - just a sensible way to dig a big, deep feature really, not planum as such. The planum method can be used on cemeteries where grave cuts are not obvious. But it can have pitfalls!! In the end they usually become a mix of planum and stratigraphic excavation. Planum excavation on good clear strat however is criminal in my book. Ask the man from Bermuda. |
