Whats Good about PPS5 - Dinosaur - 29th November 2010
I can safely say that I've learnt nothing useful whatsoever on 5 out of the last 6 training courses I've been sent on, and I'm pretty certain what I learnt on the 6th wasn't what was intended.....nice to have a paid day out though :face-approve:

Well, there's a cost-saving. Dinosaur needs no more training and should not be sent on any more courses. :face-stir:

Did you put that in your appraisal? Maybe you're just going on the wrong courses?

House training? }
Am afraid it's a bit late sending someone who's knees are shot (and has been lifting/moving heavy objects quite successfully for the last 30-odd years anyway, thankyou - that's what those stone balls are for.....) on a heavy-object-lifting course which consisted almost entirely of 'remember to bend your knees'! Am already quite capable of deciding for myself which features to sample, etc, etc.....and what exactly is the point of the NVQ1 in Health and Safety? A little basic to say the least...... :face-stir:

Don't tend to get a choice, something to do with training the workforce whether they want/need training or not :face-crying:
- and Vulpes, since I'm already as far as it's possible to get up the digger 'career ladder' (wassat?) without selling out and changing profession to eg. management or something similarly non-muddy, I don't think 'appraisals' and 'career development' really apply? :face-stir:

perhaps you should be appraising others and looking at what training is needed - helping with career development plans

What, none? :face-stir:
Thanks for reminding me, forgot to include CPD on the list of pointless beaurocratic b*****ks, - you're diggers for f*** sake, what you planning on developing into, butterflies in suits???? If you don't want to be mud-shovellers try vacating the jobs (if you happen to be occupying them) so those who do can have them! }
