Get a Trowel - where's my order..?! - uncle andy - 28th May 2007 Must agree with TC. Even though my trowels have arrived, it took over a month, communication was terrible (read nonexistant), and I suspect I have been shafted on the postage costs at least. I wont be repeating the same mistake, thanks for the tips about other suppliers. Get a Trowel - where's my order..?! - Taverna Cat - 29th May 2007 I have given up and asked for a refund. I was fobbed off one time too many this afternoon... Every time I asked questions such as has the order actually been sent, if so when, if not when do you expect that it will, did you ever find the tracking numbers, when did it actually go in the post..? Ian would always respond with an unhelpful statement like 'if you haven't received anything then it must be a problem with Royal Mail'... So I would reply 'it has definitely been sent then? What is the tracking number? Will you chase it up? Have I to chase it up..? Then there would be silence. When I contacted PayPal they informed me that you only have 40 days from the date that the money was taken from your account to file a dispute with them to reclaim your money. I only just made it and had no idea! So, if anyone else out there is coming close to 40 days and wants to make a claim to get their money refunded through PayPal, then they need to do it immediately or there's nothing PayPal can do to claw back the money after the deadline. After this point you can only rely on the seller to refund the money. There's no way that I could rely on Get a Trowel to refund me. I have wasted valuable time and effort on all of this and I can't tell you how p****d off, frustrated and disappointed I am! In addition, Ian has not been honest or helpful with me, and this makes me worry about the entire Get a Trowel set up. Anyway, thanks for the alternative supplier tips everyone, I'll be following them up... Get a Trowel - where's my order..?! - Taverna Cat - 31st May 2007 No refund, and Get a Trowel are now even ignoring the e-mails which PayPal are sending them with regards to my claim! I sense that Get a Trowel isn't long for this world... :face-confused: Get a Trowel - where's my order..?! - drpeterwardle - 31st May 2007 Taverma Cat why arent you in the Taverna rather than getting heated up over a missing trowel. Does have to be said that no organisation is perfect - if getatrowel get it right 99% of the time then there will still be a condirable amount of unhappy customers. I suggest that we leave this discussion here and in due course if other have had a bad experience run a BAJR poll on how good their service actually is. Peter Get a Trowel - where's my order..?! - uncle andy - 31st May 2007 Actually Peter, I think Taverna has good reason to be getting 'heated up'. Perhaps even more so, given that getatrowel has in the past used this forum as a source of free advertising. Anyway, point taken. Enough said. Get a Trowel - where's my order..?! - Taverna Cat - 1st June 2007 I'm getting 'heated up' because a company which I paid for goods did not deliver; and it was a larger order than just a trowel (so please lay off the condescension when you don't know all the facts). Suffice to say that much more has gone on than I have actually aired on this forum, and none of it suggests that Ian and Get a Trowel are ............. (edit by Peter Wardle) I have given them plenty of opportunity to put right this situation, but now they are even refusing to refund the money I paid for goods which I did not receive. What's not to get heated up about?! Am I to happily lose my money to this company?? Yeah, I'll just go sit in the taverna and let them rip me off... If they are a decent company and this is an unfortunate blip on their wonderful record for customer service, why are they not even refunding me?? Why are they ignoring PayPal?? I can't be the only person who is in this situation, and if none of us are even to get our money back, then I think people should be aware; especially when, as Uncle Andy pointed out, the BAJR forum has been an arena for promoting them in the past... I now have to travel 30 minutes each way to reach the nearest internet cafe to pursue this with PayPal because they don't deal with anything over the phone, and if I don't keep in touch with them they presume that the claim is resolved and close the case, meaning that I lose my money. This is time that I could spend in the taverna (thanks for the suggestion; why didn't I think of that?), so wouldn't you be heated up if, after a long day of digging in the heat, you had to drag your ass to the nearest town, queue for a computer, then drag your ass back again just to make sure that some dodgy company doesn't rip you off. Get a Trowel - where's my order..?! - garybrun - 1st June 2007 Taverna Cat! How much was the trowel??? Give me your paypal address and Ill send you the money. Maybe you can get on with your life... if it takes you 30 mins everytime to puruit the claim. i would have wrote it off as a bad debt and learn from it. Getatrowel--- give it me back when you've got it. http://www.ukdfd.co.uk Recording OUR heritage for future generations. Get a Trowel - where's my order..?! - Taverna Cat - 1st June 2007 As I said, it was a larger order than just a trowel, so this isn't about £12.99. Why am I the only one who thinks it's alright to be ripped off? Get a Trowel - where's my order..?! - garybrun - 1st June 2007 Sorry... I thought you were talking about a trowel for £12.99 http://www.ukdfd.co.uk Recording OUR heritage for future generations. Get a Trowel - where's my order..?! - drpeterwardle - 1st June 2007 I have edited the last posting from Taverna Cat because I consider that some of the comments are actionable. We have all got the message that getatrowel are underperforming. Peter Wardle |
