What would be a shock is if this pit was not dug with a 50 ton 360 as it is a spitting image of something that I did when I undertook my first unpaid excavation for molas back in the day for part of my 70 day field requirement. Yes there are no whole pots in the record because that's the nature of a 50 ton 360 held on by a bit of wire and that I like to keep a bit of each pot for my records and leave some sherds for the gods and other lesser mortals in the spoil but this is how I remember it.
