after todays meeting with the Diggers Forum in London (why is it always london!)
I think that a vox pop in the street... and some talking heads with diggers in the field about what they feel.. (suitabley pixelated) then a real idea might indeed be interesting.
I guess its a half way truth... perhaps being scottish I feel it as well... but a snobbery does exist.. though mainly in the academic circels indeed.
The public may respect us... (but I bet they don't actually know a) what we realy do and b) what we get paid)

Hello Hosty how you doing?, not a curator any more and now not in ifa. You relying just on pure archaeology? I must admit that there has been quite a down turn in work around my area . You been pinching my clients or is it the credit crunch?

Suspect credit crunch and corresponding insecurity in development circles. No point building if new buyers can't get a loan.
Gary, worked with metal detectorists on a site-they were great to work with and I was extremely impressed with their talents. So much so that I bought them a few beers at the end of the project. Also regularly use your very user friendly web-site :face-approve:.

Hosty it is then. As soon as he went fully independent look what happened. we have all got to lower our prices. I am cutting mine by half. Not that it was much in the first place.

Best raise your wages ... BAJR and the Diggers Forum are working together... and so we are coming up with a plan.. a fair plan for both contractor, employee, and developer.
Funny thing is, that since I left the IFA.. I have had more support than ever. I appreciate it... and will not forget it.
