If the IfA knew or believed that members would resign en-masse if the minima were removed, mgiht that concentrate their minds?

Remember... the Law Society had no trouble setting minima for trainees. so if they find it ok, then I guess we can. They commented that it was unusiual... but that is in part because we are unable to move from where we are.
I want to open up a new debate on a possible way forward for BAJR..

They have the support...
The arguments for the IfA to drop Minima are weak and mainly scare tactics., unsubstantiated claims and rather eyebrow raising statistics.
I know that sense will prevail.

There will be an announcement from the IfA today. I can say no more for now and suggest we all wait for the announcement.
I would however like to say a personal thanks to everyone who emailed in to Council. They were circulated to all Council members and I can say that Sadie and I read all the emails, as did the Council members I spoke to. Thankyou.

PIfA‐level competence/responsibility: £16,327
AIfA‐level competence/responsibility: £19,017
MIfA‐level competence/responsibility: £24,583

This is the key bit for me: 'In the light of legal advice Council resolved that it should not continue to make compliance with minimum salary recommendations an absolute requirement of Registered Organisation status. This requirement, introduced in 2007, is now removed. '
