That would be for new sites anyway - providing the budget is still happy I'm sure plenty of units (you know who you are!!) have a sizeable backlog of reports which will easily outlast "credit crunch". Borekickers Credit Crunch hitting Archaeology? - oldgirl - 11th August 2008 I'm not sure the overall level of projects has changed much (at least further south) but the type of projects does appear to have changed. (e.g. infrastructure/commercial rather than residential). There is potentially a problem with that though, as many contracting organisations do not have the experience of putting in large commercial tenders of the sort required for big infrastructure jobs.
