Bajr is advertising the position at £16 682 p.a., while it's going for nearly £1000 less on their website! http://www.lake-district.gov.uk/index/looking_after/vacancies/vacancy-14.htm Lake District Job - Oxbeast - 26th November 2008 It is likely to be a case of scale points. Council (and other) jobs like this may appoint at different points on the scale depending on the experience/negotiating power of the candidate. For a 4 month job, I'd say top whack, escecially if it means relocation. Nice job though.
