Communicating Archaeology: - BAJR Host - 18th May 2009 Communicating Archaeology: A workshop for teachers of A level Archaeology. The University of Bradford and the Council for British Archaeology are pleased to announce this one day workshop for tutors (and prospective tutors) of A level archaeology. The aim of this workshop is to support teachers in their delivery of AS and A2 level Archaeology. The morning will feature contributions from the exam board (AQA), the Council for British Archaeology (CBA) and York Archaeological Trust. In the afternoon, archaeologists from the University of Bradford will run practical sessions and lectures full of ideas that can be used in and around the classroom. The day will be particularly useful for sharing ideas and resources with other A level tutors especially in terms of planning to teach the new A2 specification from September. In addition the workshop can be used towards tutors Continuing Professional Development (a certificate of participation will be offered for your CPD log). The workshop will be held at the University of Bradford on Saturday 20th June 2009 (10am - 5pm). Cost: ?30, to include lunch, refreshments, course notes and materials for hands-on sessions.
