They are specifically targeted as professional development and training and therefore I have found almost everything taught is applicable or useful for broader understanding. I have found that they are also at times quite intensive and I'm surprised at how much can be packed into one or two days! The tutors are also generally experts in their field. If it is a recommendation I consider the courses good and useful enough to have paid for one myself and taken holiday to do it this year (training budget has gone but luckily I still have a job to afford it).
