Now that Mary Shelly has her Monster - YellowPete - 1st December 2009 Its a bit late in the day now but as we shall see the monster has been named. If we take the possibilities of a concertedly conscious industry to heart we must now take heed of the startk realisations of the consequences. This industry of Objectivity and Subjectivity is only a Monster by any other name. Write on you may say, but really would you rather not do and be yourself. Rather than ever thinking of goals, or schemes, could we not instead just be and enjoy life with work as only a fractionary part. If work dominates, this Monster has no polarity, but instead would be the wasteland blizard ending. Now if we work on taking life to heart and work realisticly then do we not really resolve the timeless journey. In such an industry there is no real need for grand uniformity or awareness, but rather it needs a reakless and real youth not too focused on any such goal. such an industry is fundamentally based upoin a reckless and adventurous youth as opposed to the Indiana's bookish Library days. hit the tiles, mash the dancefloor, calling to the carnage and thrills to come.................................. } ![]() Now that Mary Shelly has her Monster - YellowPete - 1st December 2009 whose the joker? ![]() Now that Mary Shelly has her Monster - ex-archaeologist - 1st December 2009 Someone once told me that the room where Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein was located on the site of the Temple Precinct in the Roman Baths complex in Bath. Now that Mary Shelly has her Monster - YellowPete - 2nd December 2009 is that sir bazza Now that Mary Shelly has her Monster - kevin wooldridge - 2nd December 2009 The outline plot for 'Frankenstein' was devised whilst Mary Godwin and Shelley were staying at Maison Chapuis in Cologny, Switzerland in 1816. It is possible that the novel was part written in Bath, as the couple visited there in 1816-17 at the time that Mary's sister gave birth to Allegra (the child of Lord Byron), but their main abode during this period was Albion House at Marlow Bucks. The Shelley's were living in Marlow at the time the novel 'Frankenstein' was published in 1818. Now that Mary Shelly has her Monster - BAJR Host - 2nd December 2009 What YP is trying to say.. I think is that we have created the monster... we have named it Commercial Archaeology.. and now our creation has turned on us.. Here are quotes to ponder There are very few monsters who warrant the fear we have of them. -- Andr? Gide We will not walk in fear, one of another. We are not descended from fearful men, not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes which were for the moment unpopular. This is no time... to keep silent. -- Edward R. Murrow. Perhaps it is time too stop being frightened of what might happen - it is time to face the monster, because at the end of the day - we made the monster - and when we look in the mirror - we are the monster. Remember - The conquest of fear lies in the moment of its acceptance.
