tales from the crypt - mesolithic viking - 30th October 2006 Does anyone have anything they'd like to relate about crypt archaeology from their own personal experience, particularly relating to methodology and safety. Writing a paper and I just want to be sure I've thought of everything. (scuse the pun) is the pyscological effect... where i know it still haunts me in a real sense... sometimes I lok at people and can only see their skull or imagine people talking but dead.... not nice! Diggers put into these situations can be covered up, suited, booted and have all the equipment .. but try telling the mind that when it stares into death every day! It is a big advantage on these sorts of sites to pick staff who have a healthy sense of humour. It's not disrespectful to be cheerful. |
