In a burial context late medieval or later, an object resembling a crotal bell without an attachment loop or other small unexplained metallic ball?

What metal and is it heavy or light/hollow? And how big? Some early watches are spherical, for instance

Do you have an image?

I don't have an image because they are quite unspectacular, sometimes they are a bell, sometimes just a ball, and not always metal, sometimes they are mineral or shell. Some examples are like a truncated pyramid with rounded edges and concave sides. I know what it is, I'm just fishing to see if anyone has found or possibly found one, in order to test a theory.
