Do you have, or have you ever had, a CPD?

Question is... until the value is 'valued with reward, then why do you do it. ?
You already know if you can and can't do something

I have worked for organisations where CPD was taken seriously and for one very good reason it boiled down to performance related pay (though it was not called that).

Perhaps we could have a 'yes, and it's regularly updated but my employer isn't remotely interested in it' option? There have been situations where people have gone out of their way to attend courses (often paying to do so) only to have their employer (even larger ones) refuse to meet them half way in terms of opportunities or training. Leading to the question - Is there any point if nothing you achieve or learn is taken seriously by your employer?

perhaps we could have a 'no but I've got a PDP' option?

So what does PDP stand for then?

It saddens me to find that there are professionals in the industry who think that their professional development is a 'waste of time' (see the amount of votes for options 1 and 2). And we wonder why we cannot move on..........

Personal Development Plan
To quote IfA:
Quote:
Your personal development plan(PDP) is where you record your aims and objectives and the means by which you plan to achieve them. Your CPD log is used to record the learning activities you undertake and can be used as evidence of your achievements.
CPD, i.e. Continuing Professional Development, is not something you 'have', it's something you do. I take it you meant a CPD Log?

There are people on this site who aren't professionals in the industry. At least 5, given the number of votes for option 1).
So, what's a CPD?
