BAJR moderation. - drpeterwardle - 22nd January 2007 Give us a break. On another thread people have said a number of things about the moderation. All I did was edited the names of the firms concerned pending Davids consideration of something that in my view was questionable.I emailed David bringing it to his attention. David posted something an hour later say the discussion could continue. This was on a Saturday night when all good archaeologists should be tucked up in a cosy pub and I was in a hurry to get to the pub and David had family matters to deal with. Please remember I am a volunteer and that there is a fine line between can and cannot be said. Peter BAJR moderation. - troll - 22nd January 2007 Peter- moderating can be a minefield and particularly on such a "topical" site like this.We do of course appreciate how important a role moderation can be and we do-appreciate your time and efforts. Please don`t feel that ( I for one) am on an anti-peter campaign, not at all.The particulars of the thread in question aside.....So long as we all work within the AUP (bit rich coming from me I know!) then there really is no justification for demanding silence.Again, my apologies if I sounded gobby.....I don`t do silence sir! Best wishes Peter. ..knowledge without action is insanity and action without knowledge is vanity..(imam ghazali,ayyuhal-walad) BAJR moderation. - unitmole - 24th January 2007 I do apologise Peter - I posted the origional thread and my reply was a little more harsh than i intended! It was just frustration at seeing it edited after discussing it with David but i do understand that it was only moderated out of concern! Really sorry didnt mean to make you feel that we dont appreciate the amount of time you put in on the site BAJR moderation. - drpeterwardle - 24th January 2007 no need to apologise. If David and me discussed every post like this neither would get any work done. What worried me was the phrase "the grapevine". I should have emailed you straight away but it was a Saturday night Peter |
