Peter Connolly - RIP - BAJR - 13th May 2012 One of the greats. Now gone. I was inspired by him as a child for his drawings of Roman Legionnaires and later by his knowledge on the subject and was even happier that we shared the same name. I agree with you entirely Dave and his book on Pompeii was THE reason that aged 12, I decided that I wanted to be an archaeologist. A great loss and with the recent loss of Philip Rhatz and Richard Hall et al, the last year has been terrible!
