It is about teh only place I can think of./ British Museum or other larger museum may also have some suggestions.. Church frescoes come to mind as well. So perhaps stress the wall painting specialist as opposed to 'Roman' wall painting specialist

Thank you. In the British Museum I registered but there is no vacancy. I think it's too cold. I need the closeness and knowledge of colleagues. Above all I need to know archaeological sites where they excavated wall paintings and may need a profile like mine.

Have you tried contacting commercial archaeology units? They're the organisations most likely to be seeing painted wall plaster from current excavations, although whether they'll have the funding to hire a specialist remains to be seen.
To give you an idea of what you should expect from the UK, check out this example from Tarrant Hinton in Dorset - "...one of the finest examples of painted wall plaster to survive in Britain" (as at 2006):

As you can see, it's pretty tiny and reconstructed from fragments. I'm afraid it's slim pickings for your specialism in the UK and it might be worth widening your remit if you can.

The Kent Archaeological Society had some painted Roman walls (standing to 2-3 feet IIRC) turn up during 2012 excavations at East Farleigh. Might not be an avenue for paid work but it's certainly worth getting your name about (particularly if you stay in Kent): http://www.kentarchaeology.org.uk/

(Deleting my comment. I refuse to get sucked into this anti-festive humbuggery. It was a genuine question answered genuinely and pleasantly. It's perfectly possible to be an expert in Roman painted wall plaster, without being an expert in Romano-British painted wall plaster. Which, let's face it, is pretty marginal to the core specialism.)

I agree it is a pretty narrow specialism... not likely to have a 365 days a year option in the UK.. a broader net will be a way forward. and this is why I suggest the Painted Plaster of medieval churches as a way ahead.
