Archaeology work with the UN - mooseplaster - 3rd May 2007

Some time ago I found an ad for work with the UN in Iraq, excavating mass graves... Due to outside pressures, I couldn't apply. I'd like to do it now, but can't find anything about it anywhere... I don't even know if it's still going on! Anyone know anything?

I'm no expert, but the general opinion on this forum from people who'd done that sort of work was that AFHR hadn't a clue what they were doing (check the archives).

As far as I know the UN got out of Iraq and investigating mass graves there a while ago.
During the Bremer administration this was taken over by private U.S. contractors, whose main purpose
was to score propaganda goals in the light of not finding any evidence supporting their main justification
for the war (i.e. WMD).
