CSCS card help - Oasis - 21st March 2017 Afternoon all! I need a CSCS card for a job but I'm not sure how to go about it. I've not yet graduated and I'm not a member of CIfA. Can I still get the CRO card now then upgrade when I graduate? Many thanks RE: CSCS card help - BAJR - 28th March 2017 Simple answer would be, yes but you are going to end up paying for a card that will be redundant in 6 months, that realistically your employer should be paying for as it is a requirement of the job. OR at the least - help you get one. Joining CIfA - even as a Student Member will get you access to this ; http://www.archaeologists.net/cscs Unless you've got a chunk of commercial experience beforehand and are doing a degree as a break from digging then I hope the company would put you on a CIfA approved training scheme. and/or have a Skills Passport (http://www.archaeologyskills.co.uk ) RE: CSCS card help - Manuport - 28th March 2017 (28th March 2017, 11:42 AM)BAJR Wrote: Simple answer would be, yes but you are going to end up paying for a card that will be redundant in 6 months, that realistically your employer should be paying for as it is a requirement of the job. A non-graduate non-CIfA corporate member would be deployed to non-cscs carded sites (few and far between). But your solution is commendable... |
