Fair comment though - if I could actually go back and see what was hapening to create the archaeology and then turn up on the dig site I would probably point and laugh too - anyone recall "Millie's Camp" as a piece of experimental archaeology?

Yep, what about when they find those plastic lawn border thingies. We put them around a patch of turf which we then spend Sundays mowing and weeding and levelling and then plant flowers around it!

Ha, its alright for the good Doctor to sneer-but us poor human apes don't have the advantage of a TARDIS or being a omnippy,omnippity (sod this) ETERNAL super-being.
Having said that if he didn't keep those pesky Daleks/Cybermen/Sea-devils etc off our backs we would not have the peace and quiet to do any archaeology.
