I think it would be a good idea if you had feedback from different people in different geographical areas as what applies in South England may not be the case for North England, Scotland, Ireland etc. Maybe you could do an online survey and ask the people who have submitted their cvs, and maybe companies too to give their opinion of the career prospects in their area, and maybe ask university types and museum types as well and then it would be a more rounded picture, however, all this seems like a lot of work!

I think ypu are right about the regional variations (some people can't believe the wages in Scotland - and those in Scotland can't believe the ammount of work in England!!)
