I've just found an Iron Age triple ditch alignment on aerial photographs which is perfectly aligned under a set of pylons. Evidence of leylines, perhaps?
Nice yellow hay spread over a nice green field also provides fun and frolicks when following up aerial photography 'discoveries'
I think the first time I ever looked at AP's I got terribly excited at what appeared to be a row of large apsidal buildings along the edge of a field boundary. It was, of course a row of tractor turning circles.[:I]

I did have one person who asked to see aps of leylines once. I thought I'd better check the details. 'Ley lines, let me just confirm that these are the invisible lines of force that are supposed to cross the countryside.... I think the key word here is invisible.....'}
And there was also the person who 'proved' that the Uffington White Horse was not prehistoric but that a number of other Victorian ones were, because if you linked the others up to Avebury on a map they made a pyramid shape, whereas that didn't work with Uffington.

while we are doing a bit of ley line beating
I was asked to add ley lines to a heritage map... as they would be very popular with tourists
" but there is nothing to see ! " I humppphed
"just like archaeology " they replied
Fair point

True, but why a heritage map? Were people thinking they are man made? I thought the whole point is that they're not!
On the digging front:
I can remember trowling back as one of a long line of people, basically just removing trample from the day before and being annoyed that this was just make work. I was even more annoyed when I spotted a piece of very silvery chewing gum wrapper in the bit I was about to shovel up. Luckily, I was so annoyed I picked it up in order to point out the utter futility of what we were doing to those around me (not that I'm stroppy or anything....). It was a 1st century silver Roman coin.
Ahem......

I have noticed that any two prehistoric monuments are always in a straight line...... I may publish...
I would have thought that archaeology must be invisible as it's an abstract, with no physical presenece, an 'ology, the study of the human past throught its material remains.
Archaeological remains however are not necessarily invisible.

I would have been tempted to agree to put ley lines on, and then just draw lines between all the Little Chefs. many of these would coincide with A roads....

I am lucky enough to live near a set of seven barrows in a row. It must have been a tricky moment when they built the third danderdanderderrrrrrr

I think the tension must have become totally unbearable when they came to build number eight but whats really interesting is where did they settle on number nine. Stop it no more.

This one is more of a "what not to say at tea-break if you want to carry on living".
One fine tea-break and about a dozen of us are sitting in the hut with only two women talking (some comedy show that was on the night before) and one says to the other "Ee,that Frank Skinner-i'd love to pull him",so before my brain is even in gear I say "Frank Skinner? you coudn't pull Dennis Skinner".In the shocked silence she shreaks back "F..k of and die you poisoned dwarf".
How I have managed to live this long without having my throat cut,knife in the back etc,i'll never know.
The lady in the story?we're still best of friends.}
