Thanks for the respose Guy, this is indeed a great opportunity for someone. I recently heard a presentation by an archaeologist at the environment agency. They have something like 15,000 staff and three archaeologists; loads of good archaeology, but plenty of different priorities....

However, one thing that the BAJR advert doesn't mention but the RSPB website does is that this is a 6 month contract.
