1) MAKE REMEMBRANCE DAY A DAY TO END WARS
Anti war campaigners will be joining Remembrance Day ceremonies in towns and
cities across the country and laying white poppy wreaths this weekend. After
ten years of futile and devastating war in Afghanistan, and with the return of
threats against Iran, the aim is to send a message to our politicians that
these wars must end.
Stop the War groups are also organising alternative Remembrance Day events
including naming of the dead ceremonies and vigils. Amongst many others there
will be a series of anti war events over the weekend at the occupation at St
Paul's in London. Please get involved in your area. For full list of anti war
Remembrance day events go to: http://bit.ly/qYQrw7

2) DON'T ATTACK IRAN
Sign the open letter to David Cameron - come to the rally.
Despite the fact that the recent International Atomic Energy Agency report
contained no new evidence that Iran is developing nuclear weapons, plans for
an attack on Iran are being laid in Washington and Whitehall as well as
Tehran.
At present the preferred western strategy appears to be to increase pressure
via sanctions. But as the level of hysteria grows events can take on a life of
their own. Any attack on Iran would have unimaginable consequences. Stop the
War is stepping up its campaign against any attack and for an end to
sanctions.
There was a letter from leading anti war figures in the Guardian yesterday
demanding the government scraps all plans for an attack on Iran and pledges
that Britain plays no part in any action. Please add your name to the letter
and share widely. Go to http://bit.ly/rXkyFZ
A 'Don't Attack Iran' Public rally has been organised for Monday December 5th
in Conway Hall in London. Speakers include Abbas Edalat from the Campaign
against Sanctions and Military Intervention in Iran, George Galloway, Lindsey
German and Tony Benn.

Drones have become a central and sinister component in modern warfare. They
have been used in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen. They are
the warmongering politicians' dream, promising wars without domestic
casualties.
The drone industry will be gathering together in central London on November
16-17. At the 'UAV Conference 2011'. Stop the War is supporting the protest
outside the conference (Copthorne Tara Hotel, Scarsdale Place, Kensington,
London, W8 5SR - nearest tube High Street, Kensington) from Noon- 2pm on
Wednesday 16th November.
The protest is organised by CAAT Universities Network and Drone Wars UK. For
