HELP!!!

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone can help with some references.

As some of you are probably aware I'm looking at the proximity of henges to rivers for my dissertation,(and the results from the GIS are blooming interesting let me tell you!)

I'm currently trying to find a paper or book that talks about the use of rivers as boundaries, and also something that talks about the use of monuments as markers in the lasdscape.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated, and if you're interested in the results drop me a line and I can explain all about the thrilling conclusions I have come to!! (But not till after hand in on Tuesday!!)

[Cautionary Tale]

May or may not be applicable, but Tilley wrote 'A Phenomenology of Landscape' which covers this kind of ground. A very accessible book as I remember (a cover to cover read no less).

Alternatively, in Troll's absense, I'll plug his undergrad thesis which looked at similar relationships (rivers to monuments) in Dorset. He was published in the Dorset Natural History and Archaeological Society journal (Vol 121, 1999) on the same subject.
