That is an ageist comment and shows a level of resentment to whoever these 'older bods' are.
hardly constructive is it? - are you involved in this area of work?[?] - having checked recent posts you appear to be involved in portable antiquities or finds?
A more sympathetic approach might sometimes work??

Steve, I AM one of the older bods! No resentment at all, just a statement as to why I was posting- no reflection on them at all or intended as such.If I had said my more experienced and long tem archeological colleagues couldn't help????
