From Kate Geary
At the last few meetings, I have updated the committee on the progress of the ACES project, a European funded project to develop e-learning modules for archaeologists and construction engineers designed to promote a better understanding of each others work and improve co-operation during the development process. We are now in the final phase of the project and the modules themselves are being finalised by our project partners at the University of Posnan. We are looking to test the modules in September and I need some volunteers to help with this. Ideally, I need a group of about 12 individuals, with a good mix of archaeological backgrounds and with different levels of familiarity with the construction industry. If you think you might be interested and would like to know more about what's involved in the testing, please let me know asap. It is not envisaged that testing will take more than 2-3 days over the course of the month.
If any of you are interested in volunteering, please contact Kate by email at kate.geary@archaeologists.net
