Been on away job all week so you've already pretty much said what I would have said... yes, it was pretty horrific stuff. The sort of stuff I imagine 1930s public or grammar schoolboys would have been taught - and don't forget the predictable description of Vikings "raping, pillaging and looting their way across the country..." - well ok so they did a bit...
How on earth do the BBC put this stuff out? No doubt Dimbles is well-meaning enough (read keen enough to charge a nice fee) but surely someone who can count to 12 and spell Tuesday is in charge somewhere?
