Hello again...
The TV folks have been back in touch
about making of a series for the history channel about the social history of death.
They are looking for sites that will be working with burials
Anyone? IF the answer is yes, then email me.... and I can pass on details.

Over the years, I've been contacted by several TV companies looking to make programmes about archaeology, and a common thread has been that they've all asked whether I know of any sites coming up where there'll be bodies. It's reasonable enough in this case, given the subject of the series, but it does say something about the ghoulish fascination of TV producers and the wider public that they're always looking to put the dead on camera!

I've always (as have others-Dino) been interested in the conflict between what is says on every burial license and how showing archaeologists excavating said burials on TV actually breaks one of the conditions on the license, therefore making it invalid?.
Without said license aren't those digging up the body breaking the law?

Ah, but the viewers are merely looking at a tv screen, not a body....the cameraman would have to have his eyes put out first though..... :face-thinks:
