The culture of the indigenous people of the world are having their ancestry made a commodity by the multinationals. Those people thought they had a contract with the church for ever which turns out couldn't match Dinos day rate. You have any indigenous sympathises in your bones Dino ? A place you feel free to go walkabout?

I strongly agree - Indigenous people fighting for return and 'ownership' of ancestral remains are often either very surprised that we would treat our own dead like this, or just saddened for us that our culture has ended up this way. We diminish ourselves when we disrespect our ancestors.
If a large rail project, for example, necessitated the disturbance of a known burial ground, personally i would just prefer it was built elsewhere. The presumption should be that if that is a Place for the Old People, then
that is where they should stay. Some other land will have to be found for the development. The presumption should be about 'taboo' and 'stewardship', not just 'mitigation'; and if this not fully enacted with ancestral human remains, then when can it ever be ?

And that is why my friends I would like to call for the resurrection of the Aborigines' Protection Society (APS) and its dis-amalgamation from Anti-Slavery International.
I would like to state my belief that everybody has a right to claim aboriginal protection. I believe that your aboriginal identity should be based on mitochondria only and be resolute to a continent. There will be grey areas on some margins but I see no reason why Australasia and North and South America cannot be returned to their aboriginals. We live in the age of the aeroplane and it should be achievable that those that the Originals do not want on their continents could be returned to their specific mitrochondrical continents within a year or two. Obviously this will require mitrochondrical mapping of the whole population of the world. I believe that this should come about when the average price of whole genome sequencing becomes less than the average price of a passport. It will also draw nearer when real time sequencing is achieved. This is presumably an inevitability of Moore's law and the use of dna for identification.
It should be made mandatory that at a minimum any disturbed human remains should identify the mitrochondria. It is by far the most robust and abundant of the dna sequences.
Long live the Aborigines' Protection Society (APS)

hmmm ...i really don't know about that Marc - and i suspect that most 'aboriginal' peoples would not agree that it is all about DNA ( + some clearly a priori oppose such testing). My point really is that there is inherent value in valuing our ancestors and what they have left here - we enhance ourselves when we view the world in this way, and diminish humanity when we don't.

For both sexes it's mtdna. Not sure what you mean by "most aboriginals". I contend that we are all aboriginals to a continent. In my case I suspect Europe.
The argument for europe isn't too difficult on the Atlantic edge but it is more problematic if you include north Africa lavant Syria turkey Russia.
In this system there is no colour. I dont know that there are any types of human features that can be related to mitrocondria. I don't think Any features can be related to mtdna.
President Obama would appear to be classified as European although I think that I read somewhere that he claims some indigenous American ancestry. If there was a direct link through on his maternal line then he would be classified as an indigenous American.
The inherent point is that we're should check to see Who's mtdna ancestors they are and their descendants (at a continental level) should preserve them if it appears that is what the ancestors wanted, if only to show deluded people that the world does not belong to some God but people.
