Caught meself watchin this stuff tother day only to find that E-Bay are now official sponsors of Slime Team. Anyone else with me on this one in feeling that this is perhaps an unhappy marriage?

Not suprised at all Troll, the thouroghly disgusting baldrick and co will do anything for money(some things even a solicitor would'nt do).
I just hope that the unaware members of the public don't view us all in the same sorry light!! deep

Ebay also sponsers American Chopper and a few other programmes on the Discovery channel, It's not something specific to Time Team.}

E-Bay sponsoring TT "...an unhappy marriage...."
Why? What's wrong with sponsorship and commercial involvement? There's no public money of any sort at stake here. Please explain your doubts

one of the main concerns must be the way that stolen artefacts are sold to the highest bidder on E-bay!
to actually tie together the worst of two evils TT and E-bay is just cocking a snoot at the rest of us who do try to do a good job and do try to save the nations heritage for future generations!! Perhaps they should be called TimE-bay Team!! deep

Took the words out of my mouth. I don`t care if E-bay sponsors the Queen`s speech. How did an archaeology program with such vigorously-defended ethics and high standards of professionalism (allegedly) come to be sponsored by a company that profits from looted antiquities?
