Howsa bout one BAJR conference but in two venues? One say, in York and t`other in the south-say, Southampton or similar? We need lots of voices guys. Not being able to attend most IFA events used to pi** me off something rotten. Without a chance to vent-apathy reigns.

Choosing the destination is always difficult. Bradford is as good as any but as it will be the vacation not many people will be there ....
York is a difficult place to get too from the south and west.
I am sure we could use the following venue

and it would not be expensive. Ipswich would however be difficult for some people to get to.
Perhaps the thing to do would be to correlate the places people on the message board live.

How about getting together on line/in person and writing the "Compleat" excavation, recording, swampling, post-ex guide to best practice methods, techniques and protocols" to update/replace the Molas and EH-CEU handbooks and guides. It would be more than the IFA have done in their existence. There is nothing of this type on the market since or better than the Molas field guide anywhere.}

As workers distributed all over the UK- it`s little wonder that the big issues only ever seem to get discussed by overpaid people with little insight and a poor grasp of reality. This conference could be the first time that a mass of heritage workers have come together for a think-tank event. I`m currently thinking about just how to stage this-needs to be high profile/hard hitting and-inclusive. Wheel is turning...gerbil died years ago... we have a year to sort this out.Gonna be good......[8D]
